Dr. Stephen Colby, Dr. Scott Bowlby, Dr. Mark Holmberg, Dr. Patricia Vayda and Dr. Bill Liljemark are accredited orthodontists. This means that they are dental specialists who have completed advanced post-doctoral courses, accredited by the American Dental Association, of at least two academic years in the specialty of orthodontics.
Drs. Colby, Bowlby, Holmberg, Vayda and Liljemark are dedicated to creating outstanding smiles for their patients using the latest technology available.
Mark Holmberg
Dr. Mark Holmberg graduated with a dental degree from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He went on to the University of Illinois for his orthodontic training and certification. He served on the faculty at the University of Minnesota in the School of Dentistry and Division of Orthodontics from 1979 to 1994. He has maintained a practice limited to orthodontics in the Twin Cities since 1980.

Dr.Liljemark, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Minnesota, where he graduated with highest honors. He also received his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate and PhD in Microbiology at the University of Minneosta.
As full time faculty and Professor at the University of Minnesota his research focused on the etiology of dental caries and periodontal diseases. He also participated in the administration of the school as the Director of the Division of Orthodontics, Department chair of one of the four departments, Associate Dean of Academic and Student affairs, and as Dean of the school.
Dr.Liljemark grew up in Minneapolis. He spends the majority of his free time with his/her wife, GayLynn and their children. He actively enjoys many outdoor activities such as downhill and cross-country skiing both, sailing, bicycling, hunting and fishing.
